Château de Chantilly

How the Château de Chantilly listens to visitors across its different spaces.

The Château de Chantilly, 40 km from Paris and 25 minutes by train, is a major heritage estate combining history, art and French formal landscape. It comprises:

  • The château and the Musée Condé, with exceptional collections of paintings, drawings and manuscripts.
  • The 115-hectare park, mixing French formal gardens, English and Anglo-Chinese gardens, ornamental lakes and historic follies.
  • The Grandes Écuries and the living Horse Museum, devoted to equestrian heritage and live shows.
  • Exceptional spaces, used for the château's own events and available for hire for cultural or corporate occasions.

Voted the French public's favourite monument in 2025, the Château de Chantilly brings together heritage conservation, cultural interpretation and immersive experience, offering visitors a setting that is both unique and complete.

The challenges

The team at the Château de Chantilly wanted a digital tool capable of sustaining active listening, in order to better understand its visitors throughout the year, during and after their visit.

It asked GuestViews to deploy innovative digital solutions aimed at:

  • Actively collecting and analysing visitor feedback, to improve the experience and satisfaction across the whole estate;
  • Multiplying the collection channels (on-site kiosks, post-visit emails) for a rich and complete analysis of the visitor experience;
  • Deepening audience knowledge and understanding of visitor journeys, through applications dedicated to each space of the estate (château, temporary exhibitions and more);
  • Measuring visitor satisfaction and identifying potential ambassadors.

How our work together began

We have been working with the Château de Chantilly since 2020 and have deployed a range of digital solutions to deepen audience knowledge in each of its spaces.

What was put in place

  • Tailored questionnaires shown on kiosks and sent by email the day after the visit: places visited within the estate, activities taken part in, first-time visit, use of the visit app, overall satisfaction and more. All of this lets the teams build complete profiles of the people who come.

  • Collection of comments, toidentify areas for improvement and enrich the experience.

  • Automatic import of qualified email addresses into the Arenametrix CRM, to refine targeted communication.

  • Improved online reputation, by inviting highly satisfied visitors to share their experience on Google Reviewsthrough the post-visit email.

Tailored set-ups for each space
